Abilities
⯌ Spellcasting
Strahd has had hundreds of years to study magic and spellcasting. I'll have a dedicated spellbook for him shortly but you can safely assume he can cast just about anything on the wizard spell list.
⯌ Shapechanger He can transform into a bat, a wolf, or a cloud of mist so long as he is not standing in sunlight or running water.
⯌ Vampire stuff Not only is Strahd effectively ageless, he is also immune to disease and damage from anything that isn't enchanted. Strahd can also attempt to charm any humanoid he can see, he can summon swarms of vermin, vampire spawn, or wolves to help him, and he is able to climb up walls like a goddamn lizard.
⯌ Warlord Strahd has extensive experience with combat, both as a soldier and a leader. He is an adept swordsman and a master tactician.
⯌ Barovia Strahd exercises an incredible level of influence in his home realm of Barovia, inside of which he is trapped, and essentially functions as a demigod within its borders. He can exert control over the weather, the land, its people, and owning every town in the valley means that the vampire weakness of Forbiddance does not apply where Barovian buildings are concerned. In addition, he has a vast network of spies in Barovians, Vistani, and animals found in the valley.

‼ as well, please be mindful of the fact that my Strahd may not be your DM's Strahd, or your Strahd. please be mindful of the fact that i cannot play with specific campaign events or outcomes in mind, unless explicitly discussed, as i have no way of knowing how things have happened in your particular campaign and what is "canon" for you as a player. i mostly play him with the novelization I, Strahd and the 5e module in mind, but i cannot know what has happened specifically in your campaign and incorporate it into how i play him without some discussion. small events such as inferring that Strahd has fed on the character are fine, but if i do not know about bigger events such as pc/npc murders he's done, or the results of specific campaign events with determinant outcomes, i have no chance to reconcile these events with how i play him. your DM might have also done things with Strahd that i would not, and that's okay, but playing this way will almost certainly compromise how i play Strahd. thank you very much for your understanding! ‼

he is also a vampire and as such, absolutely dead. hes been dead for 400 years or so. he is a walking corpse. he is cold and does not breathe.
he may be lawful evil, but he is an absolute bastard who loves to manipulate, connive, and cheat. he is the kind of guy to make friends with you just to break up the band, fuck your wife, kick your dog, and leave with your car without facing any consequences, all while gaslighting you into thinking he is actually your best friend and he would never ever do any of that stuff you just saw him do. he will play dirty and he will absolutely use and abuse characters, and he only gets more sadistic when crossed. his heart rotted to sludge a long long time ago. he will never be yuor angle.
